With just under five months to go until the 2015 IAAF Diamond League meeting in Paris, the organisers announced on Wednesday (11) that global superstar Usain Bolt will return to their meeting and contest the 100m on Saturday 4 July.

Bolt is the 100m world record holder, winner of the 100m gold medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games and has won world titles at this event in 2009 and 2013.

He holds the Paris 100m meeting record with 9.79, which he clocked in 2009.

It completes some unfinished business for the Jamaican.

Last year, he had committed to run the 100m in the French capital but had to withdraw because of a foot injury.

This year will be the fifth occasion that Bolt has competed in the Paris meeting.

In 2009, he won the 100m in 9.79; in 2010, he again won the 100m, this time in 9.84; in 2011 he won over 200m in 20.03; in 2013, he contested the longer sprint again and won 19.73.
