Belarus will be represented by 27 athletes at the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow from 10-18 August.

Decathlete Andrei Krauchanka is among the country’s best hopes for a medal. The 2008 Olympic silver medallist missed the 2011 World Championships and the 2012 Olympic Games, but has returned to form this year.

The 2011 European indoor champion is undefeated in the Decathlon this season, winning the Multistars meeting in Florence and the TNT Fortuna meeting in Kladno.

As ever, Belarus will have a strong presence in the Hammer. 2008 Olympic champion Aksana Miankova will compete in the women’s event, while World finalist Pavel Kryvitski and Olympic finalist Valeri Sviatokha are among the selected men.
