“It may seem daunting at first with so many new things and tasks, but thanks to the great team, I got the run of it very quickly and enjoyed every moment of volunteering,” said Lili (17), who was a volunteer at the István Gyulai Memorial Athletics Competition. “By the end of the day, I was thinking about studying in the field of media.”
The fruits of your work are immediately visible.
“I helped a Polish athlete for a whole day, because he lost his luggage at the airport and all his equipment was in it,” said Gábor (20). “I helped him get everything so he could compete the next day. At the end of the day, he was so grateful for the help, and it was an incredible feeling for me to help an athlete. We talked a lot, he also gave me advice on my own athletics career.”
