Edo Purple
On 25 October, the Local Organising Committee of the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 held a board meeting in Tokyo and selected "Edo Purple" as the main colour to represent the WCH Tokyo 25.
"Edo Purple" was selected as a traditional colour that expresses "Tokyo-ness" and "elegance" and will be used in the decoration of the venues and on the website from now on.

The colour ”Purple" has long been associated with elegance, both nationally and globally. "Edo Purple" expresses an elegant image in harmony with the prestige of the World Athletics Championships.
The traditional colour "Edo Purple", which originates from Edo (the old name for Tokyo), symbolises "Tokyo-ness" and "Tokyo's unique championship", which distinguish the championships from others.
"Purple" has also been used as a colour to symbolise diversity and inclusion, which is in line with the vision of the WCH Tokyo25.
