Race Day Weather

As we write, the sky is presently overcast with heavy cloud, there is a strong westerly wind and a 30% chance of rain. Temperature is 8C with the wind chill making it feel more like 5C.

The Al Bisharat Golf Course, the venue for the championships, is 20km away from Amman, set in countryside of rolling hills, woods and a little grassland, and sand. The nine hole golf course on the site is a largely sand based course. Rain in recent days has left mud in some areas of the course while other parts of the route are quiet hard and stoney, with only the finishing straight fully covered in turf.

Editorial Coverage

As usual, the IAAF website will be providing race reports, athlete features, and photographic coverage of all the races on Saturday 28 March.

Dependent upon internet connections and signals in this isolated area outside the capital we hope as always to provide our news service as quickly as possible after the conclusion of each race, but ask for your patience and understanding if publication delays occur.

We hope you enjoy our coverage from Amman.
