Greek youngster sets World Youth 110m hurdles Best

Konstantinos Douvalidis, set a World Youth Best in the men's 110m Hurdles, during the meeting "Petralia 2004" held yesterday on the island of Skopelos, Greece.

Douvalidis, who had threatened the record a number of times this season, clocked 13.22 (+0.8 m/s) to improve the previous mark of 13.26 set by France's Ladji Doucouré on 16 June 1999 in Bydgoszcz.

The new record holder was born in 1987 in Drama, Greece, where he still lives, training with his coach Haralambos Sdrolas. This year he improved his personal best 5 times, from 13.55 in May to the new World Best yesterday.
