The French athletics federation has urged the nation’s athletics community to support the Global Conversation in "this very special period".

With multiple postings across social media stimulating healthy debate and discussion among their online audiences, the Fédération Française d’Athlétisme leadership has put its full backing behind the initiative.

Speaking on the federation’s website, president Andre Giraud said: “All of our licensees, clubs and athletics enthusiasts have the exceptional opportunity to share their experiences and ideas in order to think collegially about what will be the athletics of tomorrow.

“I have no doubt that many proposals will emanate from our country, in this very special period when our uses and modes of practice are constantly adapting and at a time when our sport is at a crucial turning point."
