World Athletics Championships Budapest 2023

The biggest event in Hungary’s history, the World Athletics Championships will be held from 19-27 August 2023, in Budapest. More than 2,000 superheroes of athletics from over 200 countries will come to Hungary for nine (9) days in the brand new, purpose-built National Athletics Centre. Tickets and packages are available for a total of 14 sessions. A further six (6) competitions will be held outside the stadium in the beautiful city centre of Budapest.  The Marathon and Race Walking competitions, through the streets of the city will be free of charge. 

 

Every session of the World Championships in the Hungarian capital will be packed with ‘Must-See’ moments. Multiple world champions will be crowned in each of the nine (9) evening sessions and all five (5) morning programmes will offer an exciting mix of events and athletes. 

 

Prices range from 7 USD to 54 USD depending on the session and the location of the seat.

Discounts and special ticket types

 

• Minors under 4, sitting in a parent’s lap, do not have a ticket and are welcome free of charge. 
• Juniors between age 4-17 and seniors over 65 qualify for a discount of 25%.
• Families consisting of two adults and two kids (between 4-17) qualify for a discount of 25%. Any additional kids pay 50% of the regular price.
• Guests in wheelchairs are welcome free of charge, subject to prior registration with the ticketing operator. They must be accompanied at all times while in the venue. The accompanying person will need to purchase a ticket next to the guest in wheelchair. These tickets have been priced at the lowest category. 

 

These discounts are available as session tickets and packages from ticket categories 1, 2, 3, 4. The eligibility to use discounted tickets is checked at the entrance gates. 

 

NOTE: Unlike the qualifiers, the final of the men's pole vault is in front of the back straight!
