Defending champions Workneh Tesfa and Mestawet Tufa, both from Ethiopia, have returned to the Chinese city of Dongying and will be looking to notch up back-to-back wins at the Yellow River Estuary International Marathon, an IAAF Silver Label Road Race, on Sunday (26).

Kenya’s running superstar Geoffrey Mutai will returns to the Lowertown Brewery Ottawa 10K on 24 May, but he will face arguably the strongest men’s and women’s road race fields ever assembled on Canadian soil, organisers of the IAAF Silver Label Road Race announced on Wednesday (23).

Ethiopia’s former Boston Marathon winner Deriba Merga and France’s 2013 Daegu Marathon champion Abraham Kiprotich, the fastest European runner this year, will both have points to prove at the 35th edition of the 2013 Vodafone Istanbul Eurasia Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, on Sunday (17).

Course records are expected to be under threat at the 35th edition of the 2013 Vodafone Istanbul Eurasia Marathon on 17 November, after organisers released their elite field for the IAAF Gold Label Road Race on Wednesday (6).

After two years where the weather was the headline, the 117th Boston Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, is hopeful that competition will be how this running is remembered.
