Sprinting away from 2013 champion Vincent Kipruto with 300 metres to go, Ezekiel Chebii of Kenya won the 72nd Lake Biwa Marathon in Otsu, Japan, an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, on Sunday (5).
Ezekiel Kiptoo Chebii successfully defended his Rock ’n’ Roll Madrid Marathon title, but rain and chilly conditions kept the winning time at the IAAF Silver Label Road Race down to 2:12:00, on Sunday (26).
Kenya’s Ezekiel Kiptoo Chebii chose the 2'014 Rock’n’Roll Madrid Marathon to make his debut over the classic distance and the 23-year-old’s decision proved to be a right one as he recorded the quickest ever time in the Spanish capital, winning the IAAF Silver Label Road Race in 2:09.15 on Sunday (27).
