Cuban Athletics Federation general secretary Hernandez dies

The IAAF is saddened to hear that Jesus Molina Hernandez, the general secretary of the Cuban Athletics Federation (FCA), passed away on 5 December in Havana.

Hernandez was a prolific and prestigious leader in the NACAC region. He was also a member of the IAAF Technical Committee and served as the director of the IAAF High Performance Training Centre from 2006 until 2014.

During the 48th IAAF Congress in Daegu, Hernandez was presented with an IAAF Plaque of Merit.
