Sweden’s local star Angelica Bengtsson will face 2011 world champion Fabiana Murer at the Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics meeting, the IAAF Diamond League meeting in the Swedish capital on 30 July.

The meeting organisers secured the services of the 21-year-old Bengtsson in the wake of her clearing a Swedish outdoor record of 4.60m at the European Team Championships in Russia on Saturday.

The two-time world junior champion, and world junior record-holder, improved to 4.70m indoors during the winter.

“I’m aiming for a really world-class result at Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics and hope to improve my Swedish record again,” said Bengtsson.

Murer currently leads the Diamond Race with eight points following her wins in Birmingham and New York. At the latter meeting, the Brazilian cleared a season’s best of 4.80m.

The Stockholm BAUHAUS Athletics meeting will be the last IAAF Diamond League meeting before the IAAF World Championships, Beijing 2015 which start on 22 August.
