Gold MedallistLadji DOUCOURE FRA
"I can not tell you just how long I have been dreaming of this. This victory is the result of a lot of hard work, and also a lot of support from people who had believed in me."

"I had a bad start, touched a few hurdles, but after the 4th hurdle I picked up my race and went straight to the finish line."

Silver Medallist - Xiang LIU CHN
"I'm very satistied with the second place. The result could have been worse. I felt quite well and did my best. I'm not tired, I had some clearance problems at the start, so I should practice that some more."

"Finally, I didn't lose by much, only by a little bit, but I did think I could win it."

Bronze Medallist - Allen JOHNSON USA
"I'm very disappointed. Start was good, but then I made too many mistakes. I have run very well during the season and I feel that I should win, but this was the year's worst race."

"I hit six hurdles, and that threw me off balance. I hit the last one, but thought I was in position to dip for the line."

"Ladji (DOUCOURE) did not surprise me, he ran well. The winning time surprised me, I thought it would be faster with the dry conditions and no wind. It was just a matter of who managed the race best today."

"I do not feel old, I'm looking forward to the next World Championships, and continue even throu 2008 or 2009, we will see, maybe I will never stop running!"
