Gold MedallistYuriy KRYMARENKO, UKR
" I'm so happy and surprised. My dream was be in the group of best eight, but I didn't plan to be winner. I thought HOLM would have been the strongest."

"My day started out well so I was in a positive mood, not at all nervous. I jumped quite well. The stadium and the run-up were excellent."

"I will continue competin in the Universiades later this autumn."

Silver Medallist - Victor MOYA, CUB
"The competition was incredibly even. We all were under high pressure. I am very satisfied with how it all went. I equalled my season's best and the medal is excellent."

"Before the competition I told Javier Sotomayor I am going to get a medal. I thank him of all the advice I have got from him."

Bronze Medallist - Yaroslav RYBAKOV, RUS
"I did my best. Somehow I had an unsure feeling all through the competition. It was either or, I could have jumped a lot worse today, too. This has been an odd day for every one of us. Those easy heights seemed to be difficult for everybody."

7th - Stefan HOLM SWE
"I don't know why I didn't have any power in my legs today. I had to work hard to clear 225 and I shouldn't have those difficulties on such heights. Obviously it wasn't my day today. A 7th place at the World Championships wasn't what I'm was looking for."

"I don't know why, I had a great feeling in the qualification. I wasn't sure to take the gold medal here, but I knew that I should be fighting for the gold."

"I'm suprised that you get a silver medal with 229 and gold with 232. The conditions were good today. I just have to forget this as soon as possible."
