Getting over the jet lag

FacebookTwitterEmail

Well, I’m back in Europe and getting better with each race. I was disappointed in Oslo on Friday, since I finished 5th with 10.29. But I ran faster in Gateshead on Sunday, with 10.15, and beat my old training partners Maurice Greene and Ato Boldon as well. I’m looking forward to my next meet in Lausanne tomorrow night. That’s a good track for sprinters.

Even though I had decided to only compete in the 200m in the US Championships, my legs were cramping up after the races. But I am OK now and am ready to concentrate on the Golden League and Grand Prix races coming up.

Once the season starts, it is just one long road trip. After the US Champs I had only one day to get back from San Francisco to Gainesville, which I used to get massage and a little rest. Then, I left for Oslo, immediately after for Sheffield, and now I am looking ahead to Lausanne, Paris and then Zagreb.
