IAAF Golden League Jackpot Quest ends tomorrow in Berlin. Winners will need to partcipate in Grand Prix Final.
6 September 1999 - The seventh and conclusive stage of the 1999 IAAF Golden League take place tomorrow night, in the Olympic Stadium of Berlin.
At the moment, only two athletes, Wilson Kipketer (DEN) and Romania's Gabriela Szabo, remain in contention for the $1 million IAAF Golden League Jackpot awarded to those who remain unbeaten throughout the IAAF Golden League circuit. To secure this prize, the athletes must also contest the IAAF Grand Prix Final, which takes place in Munich on September 11.
If these conditions are not respected, the eventual winner(s) will lose all rights to the IAAF Golden League Jackpot.
The official award ceremony for this second edition of the IAAF Golden League will take place on November 21 in Monte Carlo, on the occasion of the IAF World Athletics Gala.
