New Zealand team for World Youth Championships

Athletics New Zealand has announced 15 athletes selected to compete at the 2013 IAAF World Youth Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine in July.

The team includes pole vaulter Eliza McCartney, who recently broke the national junior and youth record with 4.11m, while national champion Matt Bloxham will be doubling up in the Hammer, his specialist event, and the Shot Put.

Distance runner Rosa Flanagan, winner of the 3000m title at the recent Australian Junior Championships, is also contesting two events – the 1500m and 3000m.
