NEWS FLASH - Olsson equals World indoor Triple Jump record

Sweden's Christian Olsson, the reigning World indoor and outdoor champion leapt out to a 17.83 metres performance in the third round of the men’s Triple Jump today, so equalling the Cuba’s Aliecer Urrutia’s World indoor record mark which was set in Sindelfingen, Germany on 1 March 1997.

24 year-old Olsson's previous best was 17.80 set in 2002.

The final is still on-going in the fourth round with Olsson passing his attempt.
