The 23rd Summer Universiade in Izmir, Turkey has registered another participation record. 7635 participants of 131 countries have been accredited so far, breaking the record of 7277 participants from 130 countries set only a few days ago.
This is almost a thousand participants more as compared to the 6657 participants for Beijing, China (2001) and the 6,643 participants from a record number of 174 countries for Daegu, Korea (2003).
