This was an easy workout. It was great to jump here in this stadium and to feel the crowd once again. Everybody looked very good. The way it is going it is like everybody is going to have a PB. I guess, in the final, I will have to do a PB too. I am ready for it. I will be happy with every jump above 8.40m. such a good final is going to be spectacular. Now I will go home and relax, focus on the competition. All the people from South Africa will support me and my team members will come to the stadium to help.
I am soo happy that I qualified with my first attempt - I felt it was a long one but national record is great. Even my warm up was OK and I felt good speed in my sprints. I was pretty sure I am going to make it into the final. I feel much more confident than last year. Hopefully, I can jump so far also in the final. I will go for it.
