Great Britain's Olympic bronze medallist high jumper Steve Smith cleared 2.36min Balingen (GER) on Sunday to set a season's best mark for the discipline.

American Olympic champion Charles Austin came second with 2.33m, whilst third place was taken by Canada's Charles Lefrançois with 2.30m.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, John Godina set a personal best in the LA Invitational meet on his sixth and final throw of the evening.

His 21.28-metre put was his longest throw ever indoors and a season's best in the event. Godina is, however, still a long way off Randy Barnes' 22.66m indoor record in the event, set in the same meeting back in 1989.
