The IAAF World Combined Events Challenge moves to the Mösle Stadium of Götzis this weekend where most of the best all-round athletes have confirmed their participation. The 26th edition of the Combined Events Meetings of is likely to offer to the spectators great achievements.
More than 150 accredited journalists will be present secretly hoping for a 9000 points performance in the decathlon.
Tomas Dvorak who won last year in Götzis (establishing a new meeting record), the European Cup, the World Championships in Seville, the Decastar in Talence and established a new World Record (8994 points) will be the logical favourite for the victory.
The decathlon will also include three of the first five last year in Seville: America’s Huffins (third), France’s Levicq (fourth) and Russia’s Lobodin (fifth).

In the women’s heptathon, France’s Eunice Barber will lead a field of great participants. Barber almost equalled Dvorak’s achievements in 1999, winning the World Championships in Seville, the European Cup and the Decastar Meeting in talence.
