The Japanese athletics federation (JAAF) has selected a team of up-and-coming athletes for their men’s 4x100m team for the IAAF/BTC World Relays Bahamas 2017 on 22-23April.

None of the men on the Japanese team that took silver at last year’s Olympic Games will be in Nassau. Instead, the oldest member of their five-man 4x100m squad is 20, while the other four sprinters are still teenagers.

Their 4x400m team for Nassau has considerably more experience. It includes national champion Julian Jrummi Walsh, fellow Olympian Tomoya Tamura and 2015 World Championships representative Naoki Kobayashi.
