World junior leader Wang Jianan of China and US junior champion Travonn White want to leave their mark in Eugene as their countrymen have in past editions of the World Junior Championships.

Jianan has a best this year of 8.10m, while White isn’t far behind with his recent PB of 8.04m.

China’s 2012 world junior finalist Lin Qing is ready to rise to the occasion, having jumped 7.99m this year, as well as Duwayne Boer of South Africa and Nat Moore competing on home soil.

Fresh Barbados junior record-holder Shamar Rock and Brazil’s Lucas Marcelino dos Santos should also feature in the fight for the podium.
