The rivalry between Kenya and Ethiopia in the endurance events perhaps reaches a peak at this distance.
Ethiopia's Alemetu Haroye, the bronze medallist in the 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships junior women's race, leads entries with a 14:52.67, but Kenya's Agnes Jebet Tirop at 15:00.19 is next up and finished one place in front of Haroye in Bydgoszcz last year.
Haroye's team mate Etagegne Woldu rounds out the top three, and all the top trio have got international experience, setting their marks in the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Rome last month.
Australia's Kate Spencer and Japan's Maki Izumida are the best entrants outside the Kenyans and Ethiopians.
