As she prepares to resume training next week, three-time World 200m champion Allyson Felix says she's looking forward to more 400m races in 2010.

“My vacation is coming to an end.

“I'm going to begin training the first week of November. I'm looking forward to getting more experience in the 400m this year being that there is no major championship.  I'm excited to see what my results will be.

“I feel like I have had a good break with lots of fun and I'm excited about getting into training. My break is actually a little shorter this year because I decided to run to the end of September.

“I've been doing a lot of bike riding, roller blading (I'm not really scared, I like to try adventurous things), playing tennis and ice skating.  I really love to ride my bike to the beach and spend time relaxing there.

“After spending the summer in Europe, I love being at home.  Los Angeles is such a fun place to live and whenever I can be home with family and friends I have the best time.

“I’ve made a couple trips to New York. Earlier this month I attended the 30th Salute to Women in Sports dinner (Oct. 13) which was a lot of fun.  It was a night that honored Dick Ebersol for all his contributions to women's sports as well as golfer Annika Sorenstam and basketball coach Pat Summitt.

“There were so many amazing women there and I was definitely inspired when I left.  I had the pleasure of meeting some amazing women like boxer Laila Ali and gymnast Dominique Dawes.

“I also went to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange (30 Oct) representing USA Track and Field which was a great experience.  It was great to see business people who support us in our endeavors to compete on a world stage every year."
