Budapest will host the World Athletics Ultimate Championship, the biggest global athletics championship of 2026, between 11-13 September 2026. Official ticket sales begin on 10 November, but fans who sign up on the event’s official international website will gain exclusive early access. Early subscribers will be able to purchase their tickets between 6-9 November for the season-ending championship that is set to make athletics history.
This unique three-day event will bring together only the best of the best – the leading athletes in their disciplines: Olympic champions, world champions and Diamond League winners. The ultimate showdown of the sport’s elite will elevate athletics to a new level. Spectators can expect unforgettable moments and fierce battles as the greatest athletes go head to head to be crowned the Ultimate champion. Qualified athletes include Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Mondo Duplantis and Ethan Katzberg, while the title of Ultimate Legend belongs to the one and only Usain Bolt.
Tickets for this unmissable event will go on sale via Eventim on 10 November. Interest is already sky high, so organisers are offering a pre-sale window for those who want to guarantee their seats in the stands.
Fans who register on the event’s official international website by 9 November will receive an exclusive link and code to purchase tickets between 6-9 November. Registered users will receive all pre-sale details by email. Don’t miss your chance – this will be a milestone in the history of athletics: the very first World Athletics Ultimate Championship, where we will crown the Ultimate champion. It all happens in Budapest, at the National Athletics Centre.
The event is organised by the National Event Management Agency, in cooperation with the Hungarian Athletics Association and World Athletics.
