5000m world champion, Gabriela Szabo (ROM) has set a new world indoor
record for the 2000m.
Szabo set her mark of 5:30.53 during the indoor meet in Sindelfingen on Sunday 8 March and shattered the previous record of 5:34.52 belonging to Mary Slaney of the United States. The previous mark had stood for 13 years.
