We would like to thank the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for the work they have collectively carried out and commissioned to conclusively explain why Mr Alex Schwazer’s sample collected by World Athletics on 1 January 2016 could not have been manipulated in the way Judge Pelino from the Bolzano region of Italy concluded in February 2021.
