If he is anywhere near his best, Ukrainian athlete Mykhaylo Kokhan should be a dominant force with the hammer.

His best heave of 84.25m is less than three metres short of the 87.16m world best which was set by Hungarian athlete Bence Halasz in Baku on 31 May, 2014.

Nobody else in the line-up has come within nine metres of Kokhan's career record.

The battle for the minor podium places will be led by the likes of Chinese athlete Qi Wang (75.31m) and Kokhan's compatriot Bohdan Potrus (75.00m).
