Kenya’s Dickson Kipsang Tuwei took a surprise victory at the 2016 Yellow River Estuary International Marathon, an IAAF Silver Label Road Race, finishing in 2:09:27 for a personal best and course record in the south Chinese port city of Dongying on Sunday (8).
The Zurich Maraton de Sevilla, an IAAF Bronze Label Road Race for the third year in a row, will take place on Sunday (21) and boasts one of the flattest circuits worldwide, with barely 10 metres between the highest and lowest points.
Marathons go more often to the patient than to the impetuous; something that is all too easy to forget.
Ethiopia’s Biruktayit Eshetu and Gebo Burka will defend both their titles and their race records in the Blackmores Sydney Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, on Sunday (20).
