The third round of Czech Clubs Extra League at Juliska Stadium on Saturday (7 Aug) witnessed some impressive results by Decathlon World record holder Roman Sebrle.

Sebrle competed in four events. First he ran the 110m hurdles in 14.05 and finished third.

”My starting blocks slipped so I lost one or even two tenths at the start. Otherwise the race was good. In reality it could have been under 14 seconds,“ confirmed the European champion.

“Then I bettered my PR at 200m with 21.74 which I think is a great boost to my sprinting confidence. I even think I can go faster.”

”A Shot Put over 16 metres is always good, and the 48.52m Discus makes me satisfied too. I had also one foul which was close to 50 metres.”

”I still have one more competition on Aug 17 in Pardubice (before Athens) where I will do the Hurdles, Long Jump and Shot Put. But generally I’m feeling very good, and my shape is growing,“ concluded Sebrle who is the World Indoor Heptathlon champion.
