Provisional entry lists for Friday's Herculis meeting in Monaco, the ninth stop of the 2012 Samsung Diamond League series, are now available. You may download the entry lists (as at 16 July) from the meeting's official website here.
Some of the best athletes in the world will meet in the Mediterranean Principality for their last stop before heading to London for the Olympic Games.
As an opening, USA 4x100m Relay teams will bring their best game to test themselves before the Olympics Games, and should bring to the Louis II Stadium track Tyson Gay, Justin Gatlin, Carmelita Jeter and Allyson Felix.
In the women's Pole Vault Olympic champion and World record holder Yelena Isinbayeva will face Brazil's World champion Fabiana Murer and freshly crowned European champion Jirina Ptacnikova, as well as national record holders Holly Bleasdale, Vanessa Boslak and Silke Spiegelburg.
In the men's 400m, it will look like an Olympic final as well with World champion Kirani James, World champion and world leader LaShawn Merritt, and Daegu bronze medallist Kevin Borless, as well as Dominican Luguelin Santos who just won the World Junior title this past week in Barcelona and European champion from Helsinki Pawel Maslak.
In the 110m Hurdles, fit enough to run will be World Indoor champion Aries Merritt who has ran 12.93 in his last two finals, as well as World champion Jason Richardson with 12.98 twice at US Trials, and also the top-two at the European Championships, Sergey Shubenkov from Russia and Garfield Darien from France.
In the men's 3000m Steeplechase, it will be Paul Koech against the clock - maybe an assault on the 7:53.64 stadium record?
Another fast race should be the women's 100m, with Olympic champion and world leader Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, London Grand Prix winner Blessing Okagbare, European Champion Ivet Lalova, Jamaican Kerron Stewart and Frenchwoman Myriam Soumare.
In the men's High Jump, World champion Jesse Williams will meet European champion Robbie Grabarz while NCAA champion Eryk Kynard will be hungry in his first Samsung Diamond League meet.
Australian Mitchell Watt is the favourite for the men's Long Jump after his win this weekend in London, but European Champion Sebastian Bayer, US Champion Marquise Goodwin and Briton Greg Rutherford have all gone further than 8.30m this season and will be ready in Monaco.
